Tinzenite, is a borosilicate with formula (Ca,Mn,Fe)3Al2BO3Si4O12(OH) and hardness 6.5 .The tinzenite belong to the Axinite group and took it’s name from Tinzen,Grisons, Swittzerland, but the best specimens has been found in Italy in the Gambatesa and Molinello manganese mines ,Val Graveglia , near Chiavari,Genova,Italy.
