Kryzhanovskite -Garyansellite- Metavivianite
is an iron manganese phosphate with formula MnFe+++2(PO4)2(OH)2•(H2O) and hardness of 3.5-4.
Garyansellite is similar to Kryzhanovskite but is iron magnesium phosphate with formula (Mg,Fe)3(PO4)2(OH,O) · 1.5H2O to (Fe3+,Mn2+)3(PO4)2(OH,H2O)3 and hardness of 4.
They both are related to the same mineral series .More informationi about this quite new mineral on: http://www.minsocam.org/ammin/AM69/AM69_207.pdf
They are mixed together with also some with Metavivianite. A hydrous Calcium Iron phosphate with formula (Fe++3-x,Fe+++x)(PO4)2(OH)x•8-x(H2O), x=0.5 and hardness of 1.5-2.
This interesting mineral comes from the Area A,Locality 5, Rapid Creek,Richardson Mts. Yukon Territoy,Canada.
