is a violet variety of tremolite containing manganese with formula Ca2(Mg, Fe)5Si8O22(OH)2 and hardness of 5-6. Is a Calcium Magnesium Silicate Hydroxide .
Clean facet stones are very rare and even with inclusions are considered rare. It forms clusters of tiny crystals arranged in random directions . It comes from Gouverneur Mine, Fowler, St. Lawrence Co., New York and probably as rarity in the Suisse Alps.
