Forest fire plume agate
This new kind of agate was discovered last year in Oregon.
It is found in small layers between 1 to 3 cm. in thickness, rarely 5 or 6 cm.
The plumes are always vertical, often in two opposite directions.
The colors are red, green ,white and they really resemble trees on fire or covered by snow. In a few cases, I left the upper part natural in order to better appreciate the full pattern. Hand polished on both sides.
Size: 29x17x4 mm.
